Our music

We play arrangements written by our tutors Beccy Perez Rork and Mark Bassey. The music has a Jazz bias with Funk, Latin and Pop sneaking in as well.

At the end of each term we perform the tunes we've been working on. In December and April we usually play at The Brunswick, Holland Road, Brighton, with a jazz rhythm section. At the end of the summer term we often play at The Pavilion Gardens in Brighton. From time to time we do extra performances which over the years have included Brighton Bandstand, Burning of the Clocks,  The Olympic Torch Relay, and Lark in the Park, part of the Brighton Festival Fringe.

Sunday March 25th 2~4pm at The Venue Western Esplanade Kingsway Hove BN3 4FA

Saxshop is a Brighton based community saxophone ensemble led by Beccy Perez Rork and Mark Bassey. Founded in 2003 by Simon D'souza, many of the original players from that very first course still attend.  During term time we meet on Wednesday evenings at

If you decide to join, you'll find us to be a very friendly bunch. Players of all abilities can come along although it is helpful if you have at least basic music reading skills.
